Exclusive: Wolverine Clip

Logan has nightmares, sheets suffer
From: EmpireOnline.com

It's out in less than a week, but in case you're not already champing at the bit to see everyone's favourite big-haired berserker in action here's a taster from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, showing the man himself experiencing rather a disturbing nightmare.

As you probably already know, that's Lynn Collins in the clip as Silver Fox, the girlfriend that Wolverine finds when he abandons his fightin' ways and goes off to seek peace and inner oneness (probably not) in a cabin on a hilltop.

Lynn Collins On Being The Silver Fox To Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine In ‘X-Men: Origins’

From: MTV.com.

Actress Lynn Collins recently told MTV News that playing Marvel mutant Silver Fox in the upcoming “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” not only allowed her to embrace her Native American roots, but also brought her very close to star Hugh Jackman.

“We’re lovers,” said Collins of her character’s relationship to Wolverine.

In Marvel Comics history, Silver Fox was a former love of Wolverine, and the pair lived together in the Canadian wilderness during the late-1900s before a series of tragic events (and crossed paths with other Marvel mutants) pushed their lives in dramatically different directions. Thus far, “X-Men Origins” seems to be based closely on that chapter in the comics history of Marvel’s favorite Canucklehead, with many of the characters who play significant roles in the print series’ over-arching story already cast in the film.

As for how she prepared for the role of Silver Fox, Collins said her male counterparts had a far rougher time of it when it came to getting into character.

“They were all on super-buff diets, and I had pizza most of the time,” said Collins. “They were so jealous of me.”

“I didn’t have to beef up in this movie,” she added. “I just had to wear skimpy clothes.”

Are you looking forward to seeing a film based on this chapter of Wolverine’s history? What other Wolverine stories would you like to see on the big screen?

He'll be joining Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth), Danny Huston (William Stryker), Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Taylor Kitsch (Gambit) and Lynn Collins (Silver Fox) in the film opening May 1, 2009.

Wraith is a mutant who has the power to teleport, and is another test subject of the Weapon X program that created Wolverine and other mercenaries.

Gavin Hood is directing the "X-Men" spin-off in New Zealand, Australia and New Orleans. David Benioff wrote the script.

Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter are producing with Jackman and his Seed Productions producing partner John Palermo. Marvel's Kevin Feige executive produces.

Taylor Kitsch is Gambit in Wolverine!

From:

Scooper 'Chaos Bringer' has revealed on Superhero Hype!'s message boards that "Friday Night Lights" star Taylor Kitsch will play Gambit (AKA Remy LeBeau) in director Gavin Hood's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Kitsch has signed a three-picture deal.

He'll be joining Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth), Danny Huston (William Stryker) and Lynn Collins (Silver Fox) in the 20th Century Fox release, opening May 1, 2009.

Leading up to the events of X-Men, "Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

In related news, we've posted a hi-res version of the new Wolverine photo here! Scooper 'Darthjul' also tells us that "Wolverine" will be shooting in Glebe Point Park, Sydney on February 29.

From:

We've received two new photos of sets for X-Men Origins: Wolverine in New Zealand. The first is a photo of the old Milburn cement works at Burnside, Dunedin, and the second is a barn that was constructed at Arcadia Station east of Glenorchy.
Following those two are photos snapped off-set of Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) (with personal trainer Michael Ryan, in light blue polo shirt), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth) (with girlfriend/actress Naomi Watts) and Lynn Collins (Silver Fox) (with boyfriend/actor Steven Strait).

More X-Men Origins: Wolverine Updates!

From:

In addition to the news that Danny Huston is playing William Stryker in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, we received some more interesting bits on Friday.

First up, and this part gets spoilerish, comes news from FilmSchoolRejects.com that we might be seeing The Blob in the film:

We got a note from someone who was on set this week while they shot test footage of an actor in a huge rubber suit for The Blob. The interesting part is that they made the suit to look like The Blob was about 800lbs, but producers want to make him bigger, something like 1200lbs. I did some research (as I am not too familiar with The Blob's history) and I found that he was around 500lbs. originally.

Also, IESB is now saying that the role of Silver Fox has not gone to Maggie Q or Michelle Monaghan. Instead, expect fellow Texan Lynn Collins in the role.

On Friday, we got a chance to talk to Monaghan on the set of her upcoming thriller, Eagle Eye, and she confirmed that she is up for the role.

Don't know much about Silver Fox? Click here for a full rundown of the character. The studio is targeting a May 1, 2009 release date for "Wolverine."

From:

A few weeks ago online reports indicated that Michelle Monaghan was one of the top contenders to play Silver Fox in the upcoming X-Men spin off movie Wolverine. Is that still the case?
IESB's Silas Lesnick is in Riverside, California this afternoon visiting the set of Eagle Eye and had the chance to talk to Michelle about the role of Silver Fox. She confirmed the reports that she is indeed in the running. She admits that she would love to work with Hugh but that she has not signed on just yet. She added that they are trying find a schedule that will allow her to join the X-Men Mutants down in Australia.
Silver Fox is the love interest of Wolverine who first appeared in Wolverine vol.2 #10, where she is apparently killed by Sabretooth. She is later revealed to be alive and a member of "Team X," the best covert ops team the CIA had to offer, and is one of a few female victims of the Weapon X project. Fox betrays Team X and becomes a member of Hydra, a subversive terrorist organization. She is later, finally, killed by Sabretooth under the control of the telepathic Psi-Borg, and Wolverine buries her body outside the cabin they once lived in together.
