Bullock Jokes About Reynolds' Naked Body
Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson share a sexy secret - they've both seen hunky Ryan Reynolds naked in recent months.
Johansson is married to the X-Men Origins: Wolverine star and Bullock bared all with the actor in their new romantic comedy The Proposal.
Sexy Scarlett refuses to talk about her personal life and Bullock jokes she was far from impressed with her hunky co-star's body.
She says, "Ryan's surgically enhanced, overly tanned and a bit soft around the middle - and the back hair was a bit much to deal with.
"I'd put him at a four on a scale of one to 10."
Superhero showdown: Wolverine vs other comic book movies
Written by: David Bentley.
HOWBIZ INDUSTRY analysts - along with online forum fans - are always keen to see how movies perform, both on their opening weekend and over the entire run of their release.
With that in mind, there's a lot of anticipation to see how new films in any franchise - such as X-Men Origins: Wolverine - will rank against the previous releases in the series.
There is an increasing emphasis on the launch weekend of a movie; films are said to be 'frontloaded', achieving a hefty proportion of their gross takings on those first opening days. It's rather like the music charts, where an immediate leading position is the trend, and desired result, rather than a low entry and slow climb as happened in the past.
Recently, I looked at how Wolverine fitted into the franchise compared with other X-Men films and other superhero movies in general, using the available USA figures.
But what about here in the UK? There are no readily-available published statistics so, with the help of the UK Film Council, I present to you the official and exclusive UK superhero showdown.
The figures (which you can see below) span nearly ten years so I have adjusted them all for inflation to current financial equivalents to make them comparable.
The results offer some interesting facts that are worth a mention.
Deadpool Co-Creator Rob Liefeld Explains The Good And Bad Of His X-Men Origins: Wolverine Debut
Written By: Brian Warmoth
Posted using ShareThis
Rob Liefeld has been around the comic book industry long enough to see some of its most famous characters created on paper and re-created on film. This year, one of his own made its big-screen debut when Ryan Reynolds played Deadpool in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” (And Liefeld’s original team series “Youngblood” might not be far behind in making its debut, too.)
MTV News chatted up the Image Comics co-founder to get his reaction to Deadpool’s first appearance on the big screen, and to find out what he hopes gets left behind when the character moves on to his own solo film.
“I have a scale, with worst possible interpretation of a character being Halle Berry as Catwoman, to best possible interpretation of a character being Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Ron Perlman as Hellboy, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, or Christian Bale as Batman,” Liefeld told MTV News. “I would put Deadpool, in this inception, much closer to the side where they got it right.”
Liefeld praised the movie’s version of Deadpool as being true to his initial vision for the wisecracking mercenary — and explained why the character audiences saw at the end of the film isn’t actually that far off.
“When I created Deadpool, the entire backstory that was pitched was that he was the junk left over from a bad Weapon X experiment,” Liefeld explained. “When I look at the film, there’s no reason he can’t go and become that guy I created.”
However, that’s not to say that director Gavin Hood and the film’s writers got off without any criticism from Liefeld.
“Look, katanas coming out of the hand? Not a fan. But you get over it,” he admitted. “Do I believe Deadpool will be shooting optic blasts out of his eyes down the road? No, I don’t believe he will.”
Video Game Review: ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ a Mix of Fun, Frustration
The first hour of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” is a total blast, a great blend of above-average graphics, interesting story elements, and clever fighting moves that hint at an enjoyable gaming experience to come. The hint is never quite fulfilled, as “Wolverine” becomes as repetitive and frustrating as the blockbuster film that inspired it.
Judged on the scale of movie tie-in games, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” has to be considered a success, but that’s simply due to the fact that we’ve become so accustomed to summer films coming with poorly developed tie-ins and “Wolverine” is not a complete disaster.
One of the most interesting things about the game tie-in for the Gavin Hood - Hugh Jackman film is the complete non-compliance with the film’s PG-13 rating. The game based on the relatively tame movie is anything but. It’s one of the most extremely violent titles of the year, one that wouldn’t even get an R based on the MPAA system.

Hugh Jackman and Robert Pattinson in "Unbound Captives"
Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener) and Robert Pattinson (Twilight) will star in the period drama "Unbound Captives," with actress Madeleine Stowe (We Were Soldiers) making her directorial debut from a script she wrote.
Though Stowe is a newcomer behind the camera, getting the job and landing that cast is a payoff for her risky decision to turn down millions of dollars for the script in 1993. Under pseudonym O.C. Humphrey, Stowe teamed with her husband, actor Brian Benben, to write "Unbound Captives" as a star vehicle for herself.
She would have played a woman (now to be played by Weisz) whose husband is killed and her two children kidnapped by a Comanche war party in 1859. She is rescued by a frontiersman, to be played by Jackman. Pattinson will play the son.
Fox offered Stowe $3 million, and later $5 million, for her script, with Ridley Scott poised to direct and Russell Crowe to star. She turned down what was among the highest sums offered a first-time scribe because there was no promise she would be anything more than screenwriter.
They are eyeing a year-end production start.
Jackman Hops Behind The Wheel
Hugh Jackman is ready to hit the road - after finally passing his driving test in the U.S.
The Aussie actor recently cleared his busy schedule to head to the Department of Motor Vehicles in New York's Staten Island for a road exam.
And a witness tells the New York Daily News the X-Men star "passed with flying colours" - before celebrating the milestone by buying a sandwich and a handful of lottery tickets at the nearby Corporate Grind deli.
Hugh Jackman to Son: Don't Use Me to Get Girls
Written by: Paul Chi
Hugh Jackman has reached a milestone in his relationship with his eight-year old son Oscar: They've discussed the birds and the bees.
"He asks questions about it all the time so we had a father and son talk," Jackman told PEOPLE at a charity boxing match benefiting The East Harlem School at Exodus House in New York City Wednesday. "He knows about it but we haven't got into the intimate details."
The X-Men Origins: Wolverine star, 40, admits he wasn't uncomfortable during the conversation. "It's not awkward," he said. In fact, it was welcome: "My dad never ever did it with me so I was very adamant that I was going to do it with my son."
PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive says his best advice is to value the opposite sex. "You just got to respect girls," he told his son. "But he goes, 'Dad are they hot, though?' That's what he always wants to know."
And what's one thing to avoid? "I try to tell him that he not use me to get to them," he said with a laugh.
Expanding the family?
With rumors circulating that he and wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, are in the process of giving Oscar and Ava, 3, a new sibling by adopting another child, Jackman confirms to PEOPLE that is false. "No, I'm not. It's rumors but we sometimes think about it," he said.
However, traveling with two children reminds him that a family of four is plenty. "Every time we get on a plane it's like the best contraception I know," he jokingly said. "So I think two kids is enough."
Cute Costar
Now that he's conquered the box office with Wolverine, Jackman is set to star in the 19th-century drama Unbound Captives with Twilight's Robert Pattinson. "He's a really great actor and a really good guy," said Jackman. "His role is phenomenal and it's going to be really amazing stuff."
And what does he think about Pattinson's famous hair? "I'm not an aficionado of hair, but his looks great."
Jones Acted In 'Self Defence' In Bar Brawl
Tough guy Vinnie Jones has defended his actions in a December bar brawl in South Dakota, insisting he was simply trying to protect himself.
The soccer star-turned-actor headed to court in South Dakota on Thursday to face three charges of assault following a bloody punch-up with Juan Trevino Barrera in a Sioux Falls bar.
During the scuffle, Jones was hit in the face with a beer glass, while Barrera was left with 48 stitches in his face after the Brit fought back.
But the Snatch actor is adamant his retaliation was justified.
Giving his opening statement in Jones' trial, his attorney Peter Wold told the court: "Vinnie Jones used very reasonable force in an attempt to protect himself when he finally could."
One of Jones' pals, Brett Buxton, testified in the star's defence, claiming he was completely sober when the incident occurred: "He bought a round of drinks and I definitely remember him not having one and he was dancing at one point."
Wold also hit out at Barrera for selling his story to a tabloid soon after the fight - and after bringing him to the stand, got him to acknowledge that he'd cash in further from his tell-all if Jones was convicted.
Jones himself testified on Friday morning, claiming he was so badly injured, his "nose was hanging off, you could have put a quarter in it". And he added he was "driven with fear" when he hit Barrera because of the severity of his own injuries. He also alleged Barrera was mocking his accent and his age.
The defence rested after Jones took to the stand and his fate is now in the hands of the jury.
The movie hardman is facing up to a year behind bars as well as a $1,000 (£665) fine if he is found guilty.

Hugh Jackman Plans to Adopt Another Child
Hugh Jackman is reportedly planning to adopt another child. "Hugh is a big believer in adoption - not just personally, but from a world view of extending help to parentless children," a source informed the National Enquirer. "They are adopting another child now, and plan to welcome a fourth into their family down the road. It has become their mission," the source further added.
Previously, the Australian actor who has been married to Deborra-Lee Furness for 13 years, has already adopted 2 multi-racial children, Oscar, 8, and Ava, 3. At that time, the star of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" was determined not to have more children considering their high traveling frequency.
Talking about their adopted multi-racial children, Hugh and Deborra were convinced they made the right decision to adopt the children. "Mixed-race babies have such a hard time being adopted that Deb and I checked off that box specifically when we were filling out our forms," the 40-year-old actor said. He continued, "Our lawyer brought the form back to us and said, 'This is not the time to be politically correct. Are you sure this is what you want?' We were definite about it. Adoption is about taking a baby into your home and your heart. It's the best thing we've ever done."
Movie workouts left Jackman exhausted
Written by: Daniel Kilkelly
Hugh Jackman has admitted that training sessions for his part in X-Men Origins: Wolverine left him close to collapse.
The Australian actor was forced to bulk up for the movie's title role - a mutant with retracting bone claws and animal-like instincts.
Speaking to Celebs On Sunday magazine, Jackman explained: "I wanted audiences to think, 'This guy could easily rip someone's head off', so I worked hard to achieve that physique. I ran and had to lift very heavy weights.
"Every morning I'd get up and there was a part of me that just wanted to collapse, but you just have to keep going, it's full-on testosterone."
Asked if his wife Deborra-Lee Furness enjoyed the results, he replied: "She loves it. When we met, I was in a prison drama. I had long hair, a mullet, a lot of muscles and tattoos. I was seriously pumped up."
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was released to cinemas last month.

Jackman's som embarrasses dad at Knicks game
HUGH JACKMAN's nine-year-old son embarrassed the movie hunk at a basketball game - again - by rooting for the wrong team.
The actor was invited to take little Oscar to a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden after revealing the youngster had ruined a trip to see the Los Angeles Lakers late last year (08) - by spilling candy all over the court.
But the star's latest attempt to get his son into basketball left Jackman red faced - because his son was more interested in the visiting Denver Nuggets.
The Aussie says, "We were courtside... and he was sort of into it. He said, 'Dad, who's everyone going for?' And I said, 'Well, we're in New York... Everyone traditionally will go for New York.' He goes, 'Right, go Nuggets, go the Nuggets.'
"They scored and won the game... and we were given a whole load of swag by the Knicks to kind of shut him up... He had the (Knicks) hat in his hand and every time the Knicks scored, he's like, 'No, I hate Knicks (banging it on the floor).'"
And, despite all the free stuff little Oscar was given by the Knicks' marketing bosses, the biggest prize of the night came at the end of the game - from Nuggets star J.R. Smith.
Jackman explains, "He came over at the end and took his shirt off... and gave it to Oscar. That's how big a fan he was.
"It came down to his ankles, like a dress (and) he wore that home... I thought we were going to get beaten up."

Jackman's Perm Almost Cost Him Wolverine
Hugh Jackman almost missed out on the chance to play Wolverine in the original X-men movie - because he had to audition with a perm.
The Aussie star reveals he tried out for the action man role nine months before filming started - and was initially passed over for Brit Dougray Scott.
And he thinks his hair put the casting director off.
He explains, "I was doing a musical in London at the time, playing Curly in Oklahoma - so I had a perm in my hair.
"So I put the hat on to do the audition and about halfway through, the casting director was like, 'That was great, could you do one without the hat? I can't really see Wolverine wearing a baseball cap.'
"I took it off and I read about two lines and she goes, 'Cut, put the hat on - now!'"
But fortune came Jackman's way when filming on Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible film overran and Scott was contracted to complete that film first.
Producers couldn't wait and so Jackman re-auditioned - four days after X-Men began shooting in 1999.
Ten years later, the Aussie has played the claw-handed mutant in four movies, including the newly-released X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which debuted at the top of box office charts around the globe this week on its way to an impressive $175 million (£116 million) haul.
So Has X-Men Origins: Magneto Found It's Director?
Written by: Craig Sharp
Despite the critisism the film has recieved, it would be difficult for anybody to try and claim that X-Men Origins: Wolverine hasn't been a massive commercial success. As we already know this has resulted in a "Deadpool" movie being green-lit and a "Gambit" movie moving forward. But what about the "Magneto" movie that was promised back when Wolverine was first announced?
Well, if the update over at IMDB is to be beleived, X-Men Origins: Magneto may well have found both a new lease of life, and a new director to boot!
James McTeigue, who only days ago was announced as the new director of Conan, has now been listed on IMDB on being "in talks" over the Magneto film, replacing David S Goyer who had long been thought to be helming the project.
Goyer's original treatment, whilst being a fair attempt, shared many of the same elements as X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
For example, the story included Nazi scientists performing experiments on Magneto and the other mutants in the concentration camp to try to harness their abilities. William Stryker anyone? Exactly.
I would imagine that now a new director is being sought after, a script rewrite is just around the corner. Who knows? Magneto's story may now set up some of the characters seen in Wolverine's recent adventure. After all, William Stryker's story still needs to be told. He did take his son to Xavier and Magneto's school after all...
Wolverine character creators thrilled by X-Men: Origins movie
Written by: David Bentley
TWO comic book writers who created key characters in Hugh Jackman's X-Men Origins: Wolverine say the filmmakers did an amazing job.
Chris Claremont, who created Sabretooth and Gambit, told Newsarama: "Hugh Jackman is such a delight to watch on the face of it, but then when you throw in Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth and Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, it was just amazing."
London-born Claremont (pictured) added: "The bringing to life of characters that I've worked on, and doing it so well, was just an incredible treat."
Claremont, 58, has a long history of writing for the X-Men comics and created the legendary and acclaimed Dark Phoenix Saga which was adapted for the big screen in the second and third X-Men films.
Len Wein, who created Wolverine in 1974, said: "I was thrilled. I had a terrific time at the movie. I thought, and it was my wife's point too, that it was very much my Wolverine.
