Pick Your Cameo: 'X-Men: First Class', or 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2' | CinemaSpy
As part of a recently-announced charity auction, one lucky winner will have their choice of a walk-on cameo in either X-Men: First Class, or X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2. The auction, which benefits Worldwide Orphans, is being managed by Charitybuzz, and the text at their site suggests Wolverine is the more likely option.
"Although cast info has not yet been announced, the next 'X-Men' film will likely find the series' previous stars returning for more action packed thrills," states the release. "This once-in-a-lifetime experience will also give the winner a chance to meet some of the actors who may be on set that day."
One thing to bear in mind: the Wolverine sequel starring Hugh Jackman looks to be further along in the production process than First Class, and the press release does say filming is anticipated to begin in 2011.
Either way, whoever submits the winning bid on April 1 will have helped children in need, and that’s more important than any movie role (unless it’s Batman, of course).

Ever dream of attending a movie premiere on the arm of Ryan Reynolds? Well, wife Scarlett Johansson might not approve of that. But here's a chance to get close! Reynolds is auctioning off tickets to the upcoming premieres of his two movies, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Proposal – and it's all for a good cause.
Reynolds is selling the rare chance to hit the red carpet with him to raise funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research.

The New York Restoration Project is a charity that was formed in 1995 by Bette Midler. According to the website, it is based on the idea that clean, green neighborhoods are fundamental to the quality of life, and that every community in the city deserves an oasis of natural beauty.
The charity partners with individuals, community-based groups and public agencies to help reclaim and restore parks, gardens and open spaces in New York City.

'Wolverine' Hugh Jackman X-Men Coat Goes On Auction Block

A leather jacket worn by Hugh Jackman in the X-MEN franchise is expected to fetch $20,000 (£10,000) when it is sold at auction.
The coat will go under the hammer alongside Jackman's Van Helsing costume at the latest Profiles in History auction, which will take place on 31 July and 1 August (08) in California.
The auction, touted as "the ultimate superhero costume and prop auction," will be held on July 31 and Aug. 1.
In addition to the "Star Wars" T.I.E. Fighter, other props include a full-scale animatronic male Velociraptor from "Jurassic Park III," a 'Winkie' spear from "The Wizard of Oz," a hero prop shotgun from "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," a 'Jack Skellington' filming miniature house from "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
Other items up for sale include Ben Affleck's suit from the 2003 movie Daredevil, Tobey Maguire's 'Spider-Man' and Kirsten Dunst's 'Mary Jane' costumes from "Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man 2," the Grail Cup from "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", and a miniature model of an original TIE fighter from Star Wars: A New Hope.

Some Hollywood history from "King Kong" to "X-Men" goes on sale this week in Los Angeles. The auction by the memorabilia company, Profiles in History also includes heads of dinosaurs used on-screen in the "Jurassic Park" trilogy.

Also up for auction is Mike Myers's costume from "Austin Powers in Goldmember." It's expected to sell for between 6-thousand dollars and 8-thousand. There are costumes from "Star Trek" and "Batman" costumes. Halle Berry's costume from "X-Men" is expected to fetch at least $30,000.
