X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition downloadable content is now available for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Activision announced today that X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition downloadable content is now available for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Players can now download the Weapon X Arena, a level composed of four unique combat simulators, from Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points and from the PlayStation Store for $9.99.

Custom Combat Arena
Gamers can spawn any combination of small and large enemies to face combinations not available in standard gameplay, including a Sentinel Prototype, Jungle Grappler, Machine Gunners and more.

Ladder Challenge
Once players have encountered all enemies in the game, the Ladder Challenge room unlocks, presenting gamers with a preconfigured challenge. Enemy types and numbers start small and ramp up, flooding the room for fifty waves of increasingly difficult combat challenges.

Environmental Simulator
This room includes all the unique environmental weapons in the game, including broken tree branches that can be used as spears, forklift skids to throw enemies toward and computer consoles into which players can smash enemies into.

The Weapon X Arena also contains a bonus room with heightened enemy reaction effects.

'X-Men Origins' maintains PS3 and 360 lead

PS3:
X-Men Origins: Wolverine has once again managed to maintain its grip at the top of the PS3 chart.

Killzone 2 remains in second place for a further week, while FIFA 09 climbs one place to secure third.

At the tail-end of the chart, Call Of Duty: World At War makes a reappearance at ten, just below a climbing Mega Drive Collection and falling Singstar Pop Edition.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine has retained its position at the top of the Xbox 360 chart for a second week running.

Wolverine's closest challenger is once again FIFA 09 in second, while Resident Evil 5 climbs one place to recapture third.

Microsoft exclusives Halo Wars and Gears Of War 2 both climb the chart to take fourth and fifth place, while Trivial Pursuit makes its first appearance in the top ten at nine.

'X-Men Origins' takes the PS3 top spot and debuts as the 360 number one

PS3:

X-Men Origins: Wolverine has made its debut at the top of the PS3 chart, with last week's number one The Godfather falling to fifth.

Killzone 2 makes a push up the chart to retake second, above Resident Evil 5 which falls to third.

Sony's karaoke title Singstar Pop Edition is this week's second new entry and makes its debut at seven, above The Chronicles Of Ridick.

X-Men Origins has made its debut at the top of the Xbox 360 weekly chart, despite an assault by FIFA 09.

With FIFA in second, last week's number one The Chronicles Of Riddick falls two places to third ahead of Resi 5.

Capcom fighter Street Fighter IV makes a reappearance in the top ten at eight, above the plummeting Gears Of War 2.

'Marvel vs. Capcom 2' hinted for download

Capcom's Marvel vs. Capcom 2 may be available for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network soon.

The fighting game was recently given an ERSB rating in North America, according to NeoGAF. It is also reportedly being tested on Microsoft's Partnernet service.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is a 2D arcade fighter featuring over 50 characters from the Marvel and Capcom universe, including Street Fighter and X-Men characters.

It was originally released on Dreamcast in 2000, and later ported to PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2003, remaining a favourite with fighting fans.
